A New Creative Chapter (Or Two)
Updated 12/2/25
A Spark That Turned Into Something Bigger
I thought I was starting a small creative project. A few scenes. A little worldbuilding. Something gentle to ease into this new season of my life.
Then the story opened up.
What began as a single idea grew into a full world, and then into a duet. Now it has morphed again into a trilogy. I did not plan this. I simply kept following the spark, and it carried me somewhere deeper and more true than I expected.
The funny thing is, it does not feel overwhelming. It feels like a door quietly opening. Like I finally stepped into the kind of work that fits me.
So I am keeping it simple. I write scenes. I follow the joy. I let the story grow the way it wants to grow.
This is not a pressure-filled reinvention. It is a natural unfolding. A new creative chapter that found me right when I was ready for it.
And for the first time in a long time, I feel completely at home in what I am making.

The Tidewoven Universe Begins
Every writer has a moment when a story stops being just an idea and becomes a place. A world with weight, weather, and a pulse. This fall, I stepped into mine.
I’ve started writing a pair of connected novels set across two distinct eras. One lives in a modern coastal city full of gray skies, steel edges, and families who hold each other together with stubborn love. The other lives centuries earlier, on open water, where storms and loyalty test people in ways nothing else can.
They aren’t the same story.
They aren’t retellings.
They simply hum with the same frequency, the way tides echo across distance.
I’m calling it the Tidewoven Universe for now. Not a title, not a series name, just my shorthand for the world I’m building piece by piece.
What You’ll See Here
I won’t be sharing scenes or draft chapters. Those stay tucked away until the story is ready to stand on its own.
What I will share is everything around the stories:
- character profiles
- world texture
- themes I’m exploring
- playlists
- inspirations
- the mood and atmosphere of both time periods
- visuals that help me hold the world in focus
Think of it as walking the coastline with me. You’ll be close enough to feel the wind of the world, but not close enough to fall into the plot before it’s ready.
Two Books. One Pulse.
The first novel follows a man whose life has narrowed to survival and routine until everything shifts beneath him. The second explores a world shaped by storms, found family, and the kind of choices that define a person long before they realize it.
They speak to each other in quiet ways. Not in mechanics or twists, but in tone, in questions, in the way identity is shaped when life divides into “before” and “after.”
Come Walk With Me
I’ll be building out the Tidewoven Universe here over the next months. Slowly, intentionally, as the story settles into its full shape.
If you’re here for:
- atmospheric worlds
- layered characters
- moody coastlines
- found family
- emotional depth
- a little mystery
- a little sea spray
You’re exactly where you should be.
And if you’re curious how a world is built from the inside out, welcome to my favorite part of the process.
Choose who you are.
